Welcome to the official website of Barnsley's finest entertainer- Dave Cherry! Since 2005 Dave has been working tirelessly to raise money for Barnsley Hospice, recording numerous singles and making appearances on TV and Radio, recordings of which can be viewed on this website.

Although Dave attributes much of his success to the skills of his producer, Jimmy Echo, it's his trademark sense of humour and Barnsley dialect and lyrics that have struck a chord with people throughout his hometown.

To date Dave has raised over £52,000 for Barnsley Hospice, around £20,000 of which has come from CD and DVD sales and £10,000 from concerts, not to mention the resounding sell-out success of the Old Club Trip Musical that raised another £10,000. The second run of the play, now titled The New Old Club Trip, raised a further £7,100.

On the media page you'll find song and video clips from Dave's recordings - a list of which can be found on the discography page - and elsewhere on the site you can look at press cuttings, pictures and jokes.

The lyrics to Stairfoot Rarndabart and The Old Club Trip are also online for your viewing pleasure, written in the Barnsley dialect that is the trademark of Dave's songs.
